Hlomla Dandala Shares A Cool Throwback From His Isidingo Days. Isidingo was one of the loved daily dramas, based on the mining town of Horizon Deep. The soap opera took us into the lives of the wealthy Haines family, the Matabanes, and the lives of the inhabitants of the mining town Horizon Deep.

Isidingo premiered on SABC 3 in July 1998 and was broadcast evenings on SABC 3 from Monday to Friday at 19:00. Until 2001 it was titled Isidingo: The Need. On 29 November 2019, the SABC announced that the production had been cancelled, with the final broadcast being aired on 12 March 2020.

One of the well known characters from Isidingo was Derek Nyathi, played by Hlomla Dandala. The veteran actor assumed the rile from 1998 to 2001. With the character, he went from being a normal actor to later being seen as one of the famous faces on television. Hlomla has just taken us back to the year 1999, with a picture of himself and other colleagues on set.

Hlomla is undoubtedly one of the best actors to emerge from South Africa. Many also remember him as Jacob Makhubu in Jacob’s Cross. He starred in the drama series Rockville as Gomorrah, the main antagonist of the third season. Hlomla also played Kingely Siseko Langa on Scandal! from 2016 until 2019.

As of 2018, Dandala stars in The River across Sindi Dlathu (who plays Lindiwe) as her husband, Commissioner Zweli Dikana. His most recent role was playing Caesar Ngonyama on e.tv drama, Smoke & Mirrors.

As a TV presenter, he hosted reality dating show All You Need Is Love from 2002 to 2003.
