Actress Gina Makgoba Wins The Catch Mzansi Season I. For the past few months, Mzansi Magic viewers have been entertained with a brand new dating reality show. The Catch saw eight single women get on a mission to find a suitor. There was a twist though as among the suitors were eight sneaky impostors posing as eligible bachelors. The men were ready to break hearts and steal the prize.
The Catch was hosted by TV personality, model and talented actor Kat Sinivasan. He held it down week after week, bringing getting drama and entertainment from the participants. Kat also brought the suspense needed to make the reality show, the hit it was.
On Sunday, The Catch aired its season finale, where Gina Makgoba emerged the winner. This is not the first time, Gina, made in in out TV screens. Tow years back, she made her acting debut on Skeem Saam, where she played Mr Nonyane’s girlfriend. Being on The Catch has definitely elevated her career in the industry, creating more opportunities.
Winning the show, saw Gina walk away with a whooping R500k. She made the decision to split the money with her suitor, Romeo Sibiya. The two thus got R250k each, and continued with their romantic relationship. The runner ups are Nigel and Noluthando, and it was revealed on Sunday that Nigel was an imposter.
