The Gauta BMX Cyclists Enter Into Partnership With A Leading Fast Food Franchise. The hottest trio of the moment is still making waves. After cycling to Cape Town from Limpopo, the Gauta BMX cyclists have been receiving support, praises, and donations from the country at large.
Through their project, Gauta Mahlakoane, Maxwell Ndou and Karabo Mokoo have raised money for their community to establish a cycling club to introduce more young people to the joys of cycling. On the journey, they’ve also captured the hearts of the nation, also attracting sponsors from big organizations. This is mainly because philanthropist DJ Karri stepped in and mobilized the sponsorships aspect.
KFC, has just joined the frenzy, with a cool partnership. For the rest of the year, the boys will be enjoying free KFC, as well as merchandise. They are also getting R10K each from the fast food franchise.
“Thank you for all the donations and efforts from the nation, they well received by the boys and they are grateful. The Boys Are Officially KFC ambassadors. We are officially moving to long term plans for the boys such Mercedes Benz SA & Raleigh SA etc,” DJ Karri announced. He later corrected that in actual fact, it’s a partnership.
How cool is it that leaders have also taken notice of the trio. Just a day ago, President Cyril Ramaphosa, who has just penned a heartwarming message to the young men. He spoke about their ambition to succeed against all odds, which has captivated the nation. This according to the president has shown that we can achieve anything we set our eyes on. Ramaphosa also applauded the team for advocacy against alcohol, drugs and gangsterism.
“On behalf of the South African government and its people I congratulate cyclists Gauta Mahlakoane, Maxwell Ndou and Karabo Mokoo for safely completing a first and unique historic tour from their hometown of Burgersfort, Limpopo Province to Cape Town, Western Cape Province, on an arduous adventure of 13 days and 1741 km of pedaling on their BMX bicycles,” he said.
