Benjamin Dube Announces Departure From Spirit of Praise Collective. In a shocking social media update, Pastor Benjamin Dube has just confirmed his departure from Spirit of Praise. This is the renowned gospel group that he helped elevate to global acclaim.
The statement dated Monday 14th April 2025 reads, “After much prayer, reflection, and conversation with key stakeholders, Rev. Benjamin Dube wishes to officially announce his departure from the Spirit of Praise Collective.”
It further states that the decision was not made lightly, as Spirit of Praise has been an important part of Rev. Dube’s ministry journey for years. Their working together has touched many lives, elevated worship and made sure that the message preached reach multitudes.
Spirit of Praise became a household name with the reverend’s commanding performances in tracks like Lonile iBandla and Elshadai Medley. Since their inception in 2008, the group has become a powerhouse with their star-studded albums and energetic performances across the country. Spirit of Praise has also worked with the likes of award-winning Gospel artist Dumi Mokostad.
After achieving greatness with the group, Dube is now focusing on the next chapter of his ministry. This new phase includes expanding his personal outreach, mentoring emerging gospel artists, among other things. He will also be pursuing projects aligned with what he believes is a divine mandate.
