Among those include Intersextions (2013) as Two Step, Tempy Pushas (2013) as Detective, The Road (2015) as Bheki Buthelezi, Uzalo (2015) as Doctor 1, Isibaya (2016) as Qaphela, Ring of Lies (2016) as Khutjo, Durban Gen (2020) as Simiso, Kings of Joburg (2020) as Lester, Nqobile (2021) as Gugu, The Wife (2022) as Nqoba, Shaka iLembe (2023) as Cija, Red Ink (2024) as Goliath and Ekhaya Backpackers (2024) as Undertaker.

Having mentioned mot of his work, the award winning actor and musician still goes through the most in the industry. Abdul recently penned an open letter addressing some of the issues. Pouring his heart out, he speaks about how he has given it his all to entertain, inspire and give hope to the masses. Despite all this he feels empty, because no one comes through for him, the same way he does to others with his performances.

They call me an actor, musician, painter or writer, but I am simply an artist driven by an insatiable passion. They celebrate my work, but little do the know, I’m broken, just like them. I’m a slave to the very craft that one set me free,” Abdul said.

He added that he also yearns for connection, and for someone to entertain him, as he has done for others. Sadly for Abdul, all his has are the echoes of his voice.
