Watch: DJ Sbu Apologizes to Former Minister Trevor Manuel and Here is Why

Watch: DJ Sbu Apologizes to Former Minister Trevor Manuel and Here is Why. One thing about podcasts, the hosts are free to say anything and at times they step on other people’s toes. We have had instances where the likes of Rea Gopane and MacG found themselves in hot waters over the content they shared on their podcast platforms.
Another podcaster, DJ Sbu had to take down an episode he aired on the 15th of April 2022 because it ruffled some feathers. The episode featured broadcaster Dr JJ Tabane, who made claims that former minister Trevor Manuel had been part of conversations about setting up opposition party, Cope while he was a national executive committee member of the ANC. The unimpressed Manuel then revealed he is suing Tabane and Sbu for defamation and wanted R100,000 in damages among other things.
A day ago, DJ Sbu took to social media where he apologized to the former minister. On his part, he stated that his podcast did not verify the allegations before they aired the episode. DJ Sbu also revealed that they want to host a teachable episode, where they can be taught as a podcast what to broadcast, and what to do away with.
