Phila Madlingozi Announces His Break From Acting. When a lot of his peers are looking for acting gigs. Phila Madlingozi is deciding to take a break. The talented actor, TV personality, musician and reality show star made the announcement on his social media accounts.
Phila’s passion has always been in the film business, as he studied film and television production. However his love for acting caught him when he landed a major acting role on Intersexions. He acclaimed to fame, after his leading role in the 2013, second season of the SABC1 drama series. Phila has also been on shows like Isiziki, Mutual Friends, Rhythm City, Single Girls, The Queen and Gqeberha: The Empire.
Now the man has decided to take a break from acting. This has not been an easy decision to make, but it is also a room for growth. Taking this break will enable Phila to fully explore his musical side and find new ways to create and inspire.

It is with a mix of emotions that I, Phila Madlingozi, announce my break from the acting world. After years of bringing characters to life on screen, I feel it’s time to turn another page in my career.
The journey of an actor is one filled with incredible highs and challenging lows, and I have been blessed to experience a spectrum of roles that have not only shaped my career but also my life. The stories we’ve told together, the laughter and tears we’ve shared, have been more than I could have ever imagined.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey—my fellow actors, directors, crew members, and, most importantly, you, the audience. Your support, your cheers, and even your critiques have been the fuel that kept this journey vibrant and meaningful.
As I take leave from the film and TV spotlight, I am excited to explore my musical side and perhaps find new ways to create and inspire. Acting has been a significant part of my identity, but I look forward to discovering what lies beyond.
Thank you for the memories, for the moments, and for the magic of storytelling we’ve shared. I will carry these experiences with me always. I hope to be back refreshed and inspired.
