The seasoned broadcaster, musician and entrepreneur joined the station in 2024. DJ Sbu hosted the morning show with fellow presenter Nathi Ndamase, and they made a great team. Barely a year he has taken the decision to leave the radio station just before his contract ends. According to a statement he shared on his social media platforms, Sbu will host a new breakfast show on a different platform in April. He thanked his fans and Radio 2000 for the opportunity and support they showed in the past months.
“After much reflection and consideration, I have made the decision to resign as a morning radio host at Radio 2000. This decision comes earlier than the end of my contract, which was set to conclude on March 30, 2025.
This choice has not been an easy one, as my time at Radio 2000 has been filled with invaluable experiences, cherished memories, and the joy of connecting with our wonderful audience. I am deeply grateful for the support I have received from my colleagues, management, and, most importantly, our loyal listeners.
I am preparing for a brand new breakfast morning show that I am excited to launch on a different platform starting from April 1, 2025. This new opportunity presents a fresh chapter in my career, and I am eager to embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. Your encouragement and engagement have meant the world to me, and I look forward to staying connected with you in my future endeavors,” he said.
