Big Brother Mzansi Season III’s Norman Nhlapo Bags A Major TV Hosting Gig
Big Brother Mzansi Season III’s Norman Nhlapo Bags A Major TV Hosting Gig. Some of the housemates from the Big Brother Mzansi season III got booked and busy intermediately after the show ended. There are those though, who however, are only starting to get the recognition years after.
Norman Nhlapo is among those who star took a bit of time to shine. One of his first gigs after leaving the Big Big Brother Mzansi house was signing a deal with Asex Clothing Brand. The reality show star and media personality expressed gratitude to the show for the exposure. After that it became a bit hard for him, despite having the talent.
A couple of months ago, Norman entered the YFM Switch Be The Next Presenter Search competition. He impressed with his audition, and went as far as being one of the Top 5 finalists. Although he wasn’t the ultimate winner, Norman put himself out there. This past December, he was the red carpet host at the GQ Men of the Year event.
On to more big gigs, Norman has just bagged himself a TV hosting gig. He is the co-host of NBA Life Season II on SABC 2. Norman will be holding it down with Kyeezi The Tall Wonder. Norman is really excited for finally seeing his dreams become a reality.
“They say timing is everything, right? I’ve always known I had something to offer—something real, something authentic—but for the longest time, it felt like my message just wasn’t landing. I’ve faced setbacks, battled my own struggles, and questioned if I was truly being seen. But here’s the thing: I never stopped showing up. I never stopped believing. And now, I’m stepping into a new chapter, unapologetically,” he said.
“My name is Norman Nhlapo, a 27-year-old TV presenter and MC, and I’m proud to say I’m the new co-host of NBA LYF on SABC2. This journey hasn’t been easy, but I’ve stayed true to myself, and South Africa is about to experience something homegrown, something real. Relatable talent that’s built on grit, authenticity, and the courage to keep going—no matter what.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the more you put yourself out there, the more the right people start paying attention. Sure, there’s been negativity, but confidence silences doubt, and I’m here to give it everything I’ve got. So, if you’ve been rocking with me, thank you for staying on this journey. And if you’re new—welcome! Let’s make 2025 the year we take bold steps and embrace the power of persistence.
Follow my journey, because I’m just getting started, Norman added.”
