Anele Mdoda Shares Her Recent Horrifying Uber Ride Experience. One of he worst abuses women fear the most is sexual assault. Even being threatened by it can cause devastating psychological harm. Sadly this is the reality of many women in this country regardless of age, race, or status.

Even well known women, with great influence are no exception. Anele Mdoda has just shared her experience, and its enough to give one chills. The multi-award winning media personality, producer and entrepreneur used the services of Uber in Cape Town, Sunday evening. When requesting, she opted for the ‘Don’t Talk to Me Option.’ This clearly did not sit well with the driver, who according to Anele, made sexual abuse threats. Anele had to fake being on Instagram live, just to arrive home safely.

“My @uber driver tonight was upset that I had picked the don’t talk to me option. He then said “ in my country we would rape you to teach you a lesson” and I had to fake being on Instagram live to get home safe Then when he got to my hotel he started shouting at me and I really recorded and this is what ensued and there was a couple that could see I was under duress I apologize for my language. I was in danger,” Anele captioned the video.

Anele recorded the driver so that should anything happen to her, everything will be on record. After she posted, Uber joined in on the comments section. They apologized to Anele for what he went through, and asked for the phone number/email address linked to her account and the trip date and time via DM so they could assist further.
