After More Than 25 Years In the Acting Industry Brenda Ngxoli Finally Makes It to the Cinema. We are used to seeing her do her thing on theatre, and then entered the small screen. Now, Brenda Ngxoli has spread her wings, and is soon coming to a cinema near you.
The award winning actress started acting in theatre, where she performed in several stage plays such as, Pick Ups, I-Klips, Yes Medem, Docs Wife, and Sacred Thorns. Brenda made her television debut in 2005, starring in the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs. In the series, she played the role of “Vuyo Radebe” for three years with huge popularity.
In 2010, she made her film debut with the first film of the Spud franchise with the role of “Innocence”. Brenda continued to play the role for all three films: Spud (2010), Spud 2: The Madness Continues (2013) and Spud 3: Learning to Fly (2014). In 2013, she appeared in the television serial Rockville. The following year, Brenda acted in the serial Ses’ Top La.In 2017, she made the lead role in the e.tv drama serial Hustle.
Brenda has also been in iThemba in 2019 as well as The Queen in 2020, the first telenovela in her career. She recently bagged another role in a new film, A Scam Called Love. Brenda stars alongside the likes of Didintle Khunou, Tobi Bamtefa , Lwazi Mthembu, Fezile Mpela, Rendani Mufamadi, Thando Thabethe and Trevor Gumbi.
This is Brenda’s first time being cast on a show that makes it to the cinema. She couldn’t hide her excitement sharing the news with her family.
