Lerato Sengadi Remembers the Late Hip Hop Pantsula In A Sweet Birthday Shout Out. Just over a week back, Lerato Sengadi remembered her late mother, on what would have been her birthday. She lost her mother on the 6th of January 2021,and it hasn’t been easy since. What is even more sad is that three years prior to her mother’s passing Lerato lost her husband, Jabulani Tsambo, famously known as Hip Hop Pantsula.
HHP and Lerato’s Marriage
According to reports, HHP proposed marriage to Lerato on 6 November 2015 in Amsterdam. She immediately accepted the marriage proposal. The couple concluded a marriage in terms of customary law with the blessings of their respective parents. On 28 February 2016 their families met for lobola negotiations. Upon the successful conclusion of the lobola negotiations, a lobola agreement was concluded, reduced to writing and signed. It stipulated that the lobola agreed upon was an amount of R45 000.
Terrible Unforeseen Circumstances
HHP, died on October 24, 2018, at the age of 38, from suicide. The South African Motswako rap pioneer a long and public battle with depression. He left behind his son, wife Lerato and a loving family. Today, HHP would have been 46 years of age. To remember him, Lerato took to social media sharing the beautiful memory of their engagement.
