The musician shared that Winnie Khumalo’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday 15th 2025 at the Market Theatre. The service is going to take place from 12h00 to 14h00.
She is back again, this time with details about Winnie’s funeral service. The Live My Life, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 18 January 2025. The exact time and venue are yet to be announced though. As Rethabile shared the new information, more tributes and condolence messages poured in for the fallen star.
The 51-year-old music icon died on Tuesday, 7 January, after a short illness. Her death was confirmed by her family.
Winnie’s younger sister Tshepi Rakeepile revealed heartbreaking details to Daily Sun.
“This morning (Tuesday, 7 January), she wasn’t feeling well, and her daughter Rethabile Khumalo, rushed her to hospital. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, she was pronounced dead,” she said.
