Icala Back for Season II. This evening, Monday 6th 2025, Icala will air the first episode of its second season. The 13-part series follows Hlabangani, a reckless and self-centered man, who thought he was dying and spilled the beans, confessing to his loving, revenge-driven wife, MaShandu, about the child he fathered with her Best Friend MaNxumalo. In a shocking plot twist, he did not die!
The new season, is coming with more drama as MaShandu, is once again forced to confront her philandering husband. Hlabangani returns to his old ways and impregnates Nurse Goba (Ntokozo Ngcobo). He begins to flaunt his new life and embarrasses MaShandu by moving in with his new mistress. MaShandu decides to take matters into her own hands.
In a dramatic twist, she does something unthinkable which sends her husband on a wild goose chase. Meanwhile, MaShandu enjoys every second of Hlabangani’s confusion and humiliation.
Written by the talented Chris Q Radebe, Icala boats a lot of veteran actors. They are Lerato Mvelase, Bheki Sibiya Sannah Mchunu Kennedy Stab, Velile Makhoba among others. The drama also introduced us to new talent Athie Cwele in the first season. The new season is bringing yet another familiar face, Mlungisi Mathe, a talented actor and musician. We can’t wait to see how he fits in on the drama.
