“Coming From A Show Like Big Brother Doesn’t Make Breaking Into the Industry Easy,” Norman Nhlapo

“Coming From A Show Like Big Brother Doesn’t Make Breaking Into the Industry Easy,” Norman Nhlapo. Big Brother Mzansi and other local reality shows have helped build many careers. Some of the former participants are in the entertainment industry as actors, media personalities, musicians, influencers and brand ambassadors.

Having noted that though, there are some who are yet to break in the industry. Only a handful, who had strong fan bases and noted by Norman Nhlapo are making it big out there. The former Big Brother Mzansi housemate shared that being on the show doesn’t automatically translates to stardom. In actual fact one goes through all negative emotions, linked to fame.

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!!!!

Coming from a show like Big Brother doesn’t make breaking into the industry easy—especially without a fan base or one of those ‘groups’ backing you. It messes with you mentally, physically, and emotionally. You start doubting yourself because everything feels tied to clout.

I loved my time on the show, but I hated what it did to my confidence and mental health. Still, it made me stronger. Being honest with myself helped me reflect, play to my strengths, and rebuild my mindset
,” Norman said.

Now that it’s been two years since the show, Norman has grown as an individual. He is no longer caught up in chasing industry validation anymore, since he knows he is talented. “What’s meant for me will always find its way. The moment I embraced that, my whole life changed,” he added.

I’m more than a performer. I’m a brand liaison, an entrepreneur, and anything else I choose to be. And you can be too. Stop sleeping on yourself. Morning 🌅❤️‍🔥,” now that’s growth!
