Applications Open for the 100 x Clover YES Merchandiser Learnership Programme 2025. Clover invites unemployed youth to apply for YES Merchandiser Learnership Programme 2025.

Clover is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed youth to join its Sales department as Merchandisers. This program provides 12 months of work experience and is part of the YES (Youth Employment Service) programme aimed at providing opportunities to South African youth. The positions are available at Clover’s various branches, including Clayville, CDC Cape Town, Bloemfontein, and Queensburgh.


Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Fluent in Business English (both written and spoken).
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Stock Control and Ordering:

  • Apply correct stock control measures in-store and in backup areas where Clover stock is handled.
  • Control and minimize stock returns according to the store work plan.
  • Prevent out-of-stock situations and report any occurrences to the Area Manager (AM).
  • Place accurate and timely orders in line with store requirements.
  • Ensure neat and clean products on shelves at all times.
  • Properly manage crates and equipment control as per company policy.

Shelving and Merchandising:

  • Maintain shelve control in line with store and shelving plans.
  • Pack shelves according to store flow and basic merchandising rules.
  • Ensure fridges are properly maintained and stocked.
  • Maintain shelf set as per provided plans (plannos or generic shelf sets).
  • Ensure price labels are updated per product.
  • Place point-of-sale material in the allocated position and ensure it remains well-presented.
  • Maintain relevant administration related to product displays and stock.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain good business relationships with:
    • Store management
    • Area Managers (AM)
    • Head Office (HO)
    • Customers
    • Fellow Merchandisers
