Anele Mdoda Takes Us Back to Her Epic Oscar Moments With Hollywood Stars. At this rate, we all need Anele Mdoda‘s prayer, word by word. She is a force in the local entertainment industry, and when she steps outside our shores, Anele also make an everlasting mark.
Just recently, The Last Ranger, a film produced under her production company, bagged an Oscar nomination.The film follows a young Litha (Liyabona Mroqoza), who is taken on a wondrous journey through a game reserve by the last remaining ranger, Khuselwa (Avumile Qongqo).
This is such a full circle moment for Anele, who has attended the Oscars in previous years as a red carpet host. During the time, she got to mingle with some of the celebrated Hollywood actors. Among those include Charlize Theron, Cynthia Erivo, Ryan Seacrest, Tyler Perry and James Corden. Anele has just shared with her fans how she managed to get these stars’ attention, and how she interacted with them.

“Oscars 2022 With Cynthia Erivo. She was running very late, she was nominated and she was performing so pressed for time. She whizzed past and I screamed CYNTHIA!!!!!! She turned and looked at me and I can only imagine saw a girl who looks like her and she ran straight to me and granted me an interview.“
Charlize Theron
“Charlie Theron as well, she was simply not doing any interviews. I shouted her moms name who was with her, GERDA!!! Then I showed her the M from Mnet on my microphone and mouthed South Africa, she yanked Charlize and pointed at me and said talk to her and she did.”
Tyler Perry
“Tyler Perry was being called inside for rehearsal but luckily I had met him at Global Citizen so I shouted global citizen and he did that thing Taxi drivers do when they signal that they are coming back and I said to the crew, that punk ain’t coming back 🤣🤣🤣 he came back so abruptly I didn’t have my questions ready for him so I just shot the breeze and asked random questions which he enjoyed 🤣🤣.“

“Al Pacino was only doing the major networks so Ryan Seacrest so as his team was moving him to the next major network they passed me and I started reciting the inch speech from Any Given Sunday • He laughed and in that Mafia tone said “take a look at this kid” I knew he would not be able to stay with me long so I just said please say hi to South Africa and he did.”
James Corden
“James Corden was so serious about not doing interviews he was walking on the far end of the red carpet, there was even a rope. Earlier that week it had come out that he does not actually drive the car in Carpool Karaoke and the car is on a flat bed and he was getting flack for it and when you are chubby in the industry the flack can go dark( trust me. I know 🤣) so he was avoiding all interviews, I saw him and shouted… JAMES I DONT CARE THAT YOU DONT DRIVE THE BLOODY CAR !!!! And he ran to me and hugged me and picked me up and we chatted. He was on stage that night for CATS.”
