Vele Manenje Takes A Moment to Celebrate the Late Mpho Sebeng

Vele Manenje Takes A Moment to Celebrate the Late Mpho Sebeng. It has been seven month now, since Mpho Sebeng‘s untimely passing. The award winning actor was involved in a car accident in Potchefstroom, in the North West, on the 5th of May.

Mpho is definitely one of those personalities, who continues to make waves even after their passing. On the 6th of June, 016FM, a drama series he stars on premiered. He was cast as DJ Whiskey in the drama series that follows two polar opposite DJs. Together with DJ Tsietsi, DJ Whiskey devises a plan to save the station from closure.

Also in the same month, Mpho got nominated for Best Film Actor in the 11th Simon ‘Mabhunu’ Sabela Awards. This was for his iconic role in Ingoma. The show followed a schoolteacher who tells his students the story of his life before he found success, navigating betrayal, financial hardship and selling drugs. Sadly after some complaints, his nomination was revoked.

A few months back he got a South African Film and TV Awards nomination. Mpho walked away with the award, which was for Best Supporting Actor In A Telenovela. The award was for his role in the Estate. For this Mpho was celebrated by loved ones and industry peers. One of those who can’t help sing his praises, is his good friend Vele Manenje.

Super proud of u @mpho_sebeng,” Vele said, holding the Golden Horn.
