Jackie Phamotse Pens An Open Letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa

Jackie Phamotse Pens An Open Letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa. One thing about Jackie Phamotse, she addresses issues through writing. A few years back, she penned a letter to Mohale Motaung after he was allegedly abused by his ex husband Somizi Mhlongo.

Dear Mohale Motaung, don’t be scared any more! This is your life! They can’t bully you any more! We hear you! We have been seeing your pain, your sad eyes tell a story. Fight for your life back! And f*ck it! You deserve half of everything! Yes, I said it! But fix your self first!” Jackie wrote.

Now she has taken it upon herself to address the first citizen of the country, President Cyril Ramaphosa. The multi-award winning author shared that she has lost faith in Ramaphosa’s leadership. Jackie is not happy about the issues of human trafficking, gender based violence, and other serious criminal activities taking place in the country.

As you are aware, human trafficking is a serious issue in Southern Africa, with many victims being lured into forced labour, sexual exploitation, and other forms of modern-day slavery. The fact that our country still struggles with high levels of GBV, hijackings, and rape only adds to the sense of unease,” Jackie said.

Furthermore, it’s heartbreaking to see that our constitutional rights are not being protected, and our communities are continue to suffer from poverty and unemployment,” she added.

This is all in relation to the president’s opening remarks on Tuesday at the South Africa-Nigeria Bi-National Commission in Parliament. Ramaphosa said that he wants to see more Nigerian products on South African shelves and greater investment between the two countries. He added that the two countries are united both in “purpose and vision” and the two powerhouses have every reason to strengthen their economic ties.
