Andile Ncube Comes to Itumeleng Khune’s Defense Over His Match Analysis Skills

Andile Ncube Comes to Itumeleng Khune’s Defense Over His Match Analysis Skills. A number of retired football stars are now doing great as match analyst. One can thinks about the likes of Phumudzo Manenzhe, Doctor Khumalo, Amanda Dlamini, Matthew Booth, Mark Haskins and several former top players. They bring their experience to the table, giving a much needed perspective.

It seems like Itumeleng Khune, is also going that route. The former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goal keeper, has been quite vocal about some recent matches. Over the weekend, he was analyzing a CAF game on SABC2. The Caf Champions League game was between Mamelodi Sundowns and AS FAR Rabat. The Brazilians took the lead in the 66th minute through Iqraam Rayners’ goal, but their joy was short-lived as Mohamed Hrimat equalized for Rabat in the 74th minute.

One viewer was not impressed with Khune’s analysis though.

Itumeleng Khune on SABC2 analysing the Sundowns match…talking about away goals and second legs,” they said.

Andile Ncube, who has been in the game for years, took it upon himself to defend Khune. He stated that Khune is still finding his feet as a TV personality, but when it comes to football, he knows his story.

Well…he isn’t completely wrong. He is still getting into this TV thing and perhaps should’ve articulated himself better but I don’t think it’s fair to say he doesn’t know the game or this competition (to those saying that) Some are naturally gifted at this TV thing and some it takes work and time and others try it out and realise it’s not for them, surely everyone deserves the grace of time thou,” Andile said.
