Mantsoe Pout Celebrates Her Major Radio Award Win By Reflecting Back At the Past 2 Years. Just like any other person in the industry, Mantsoe Pout has had ups and downs. The good thing about her experiences though is that, she doesn’t let the unfortunate occurrences put her down for good.
Just a couple of months after joining 947, Mantsoe found herself out in the cold. This came after she left 947 in 2021 as part of changes to the drive show, following DJ Fresh’s axing. It goes without saying that, the experience was such trying one in her life. In the meantime, the radio personality joined STAR FM, as Star Lunch with Mantsoe Pout host. After that she joined a major radio station METRO FM, hosting a show called, Boomerang. The graveyard show aired from 0:00 to 0:300, over the weekends.
In 2023, Mantsoe was called back to 947. It has been two years since she returned to the radio station, and she hosts Mornings With Mantsoe every Saturday and Sunday form 7am. Now she is here taking major awards home. Mantsoe has just won the award for Best Weekend Radio Show in the Commercial Radio category at the Telkom Radio Awards 2025. She took a moment to reflect on her wonderful journey back at 947.
“The past five years have been the wildest and most necessary ride. But let me zoom in on 2023-2025 ❤️ Two years into my radio show and I have never felt happier and more confident. Two years of big changes in my personal and professional life. Endings and beginnings. Intention at the very centre of the two years. Building, sacrificing and welcoming what I have always known I deserved. And through it all, the concept I’ll always lean on is God’s perfect timing.
