1. Michélle Botes was born on 12 October 1962 in Cape Town.
2. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in speech and drama, from the University of Stellenbosch. After graduation, Michelle completed a diploma in education at the University of Cape Town.
3. Early in her career, Michelle appeared with Ian Roberts on the popular TV series “Arende” in 1994.
4. In 1998, she joined the cast of SABC3 show Isidingo as the iconic Cherel de Villiers Haines for nine consecutive years. She rejoined the show in 2009.
5. The star was also known for her roles in Binnelanders, Die Swart Kat, Torings and Arende.
