South African Celebs Celebrate Chidimma Adetshina Being Miss Universe 2024 1st Runner Up. She has just made herself, family, and the entire continent as she placed number two in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
Chidimma Adetshina has had quite an eventful year. It all started with her taking part in the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant. From the get go, it was evident that she was a tough contender. Chidimma quickly went up the ranks, until she got in the Top 10. That is when her problems started, as many South Africans questioned her identity. This went on for weeks, until she eventually succumbed to the pressure and withdrew from the pageant.
All was not lost though, as she was invited to contest for Miss Universe Nigeria. Chidimma won the pageant, and was the country representative in Miss Universe. The moment she set her foot in Mexico, Chidimma commanded attention. Her poise, confidence, beauty, fashion sense are among the things that made her stand out. At the finale Chidimma, showed the world what she is made of, going as far as Top 2, at the prestigious pageant.
This saw her being named Miss Universe Africa and Oceania. Chidimma has thus made history as the first Nigerian to make it to the Top 5. As much as many South Africans are trying to downplay her position, there are those who are happy fro her. Some have even been bold enough to congratulate her on social media, despite the backlash they receive. Among those are DJ Sbu, Ntsiki Mazwai, Professor Thuli Madonsela and Thuso Van Zyl. All of these personalities have supported Chidimma from the get go, when she was still a Miss SA contender.
