Simphiwe Ngema Mourns Her Hairstylist and Good Friend Jabu Mayisela. The relationships between hairstylists, makeup artists beauticians and their clients is always a special one. These are the people many women entrust with their looks. They in-turn become their fiends, building long lasting relations.

This is the case with Jabu Mayisela and so many of his clients, mostly South African celebrities. His clients include Brown Mbombo, Nomsa Madida, Nobuhle Mimi Mahlasela and Nicole Elocin among many others. He also had a loyal client in Simphiwe Ngema, and did most of her hairstyles. The two have known each other for two decades, and Jabu’s passing has really hit Simphiwe hard.

Taking to Instagram, the talented actress and musician shared memories, she had over the years with Jabu. Simphiwe states that Jabu started doing her hair while she was in high school to date. From the pictures, it is evident that the two had such a special bond.

How do you summarize 20years of friendship? I was in high school and needed to do my hair when we first met, I never knew that we would grow so close. I don’t even know what to say because my mind is still in denial.

You loved me so much. You were there for all my firsts, all the milestones and the worst moments of my life. We cried together, we laughed together and we celebrated together. Here’s to the random holidays, spa dates, phone calls, doing my hair for no reason, showing up for each other, supporting each other and doing this life thing together,
” Simphiwe said.

With Jabu gone, Simphiwe is broken, and fears for how her life is going to turn out. “I am so scared to face a reality that no longer has you in it. Who will force me to go to industry events and make fun of abo “good to see you” with me? Yho Jabu, Waze way’phula inhliziyo yam.

I really hoped that you would hang on just a little longer so you can meet Kabo. I will tell my kids about you. I’ll tell them how great you were, I will tell them how passionate you were and how you just kept going no matter what. I love you Jabu Ka Simphiwe.

uSimphiwe ka Jabu❤️,” she added.
