Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala Mourns A Close Family Member
Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala Mourns A Close Family Member. Losing a family member to death is such an unimaginable pain. More so, like in Bokang Montjane’s case, when you had such a close relationship.
The former Miss South Africa has just taken to social media to announce the passing of her uncle. After they laid him to rest this weekend, Bokang opened up about her grief. She started by sharing most of the beautiful memories they had. These includes her uncle becoming her hero when she was just four years, and supporting her pageantry journey.
“Navigating a loss is really some crazy business 💔 tjo Malome Mothiba😭Laying you to rest this weekend was hard💔. The uncle who took out a huge bead that I got stuck in my nose at 4 years 😂😂😂…
I know the past two years have been hard but thank you for “signalling” me to come say goodbye to you. I got there and for the first time in all these years we went down memory lane, about raising me as a child , about my pageants trips,” Bokang said.
“Many people don’t know that when I started with pageants my entire family came to every single competition, all my aunts and uncles and my cousins would come. I remember telling him that one competition stood out for me, Model of the year 2004 , they came all the way from Limpopo to Vaal ka Taxi and there was about 4000 girls who entered and I made it as Top Model ( Photogenic & Ramp). My uncle was so proud.“
“I reminded him of this moment and told him how much it meant to me and how their constant support throughout the years meant to me, seeing all of them support what I loved at a time when people didn’t even take modelling as anything serious. At some point while I was sitting with him he was calling our other extended family members and telling them ke tlile gae go ba bona and I ended up pledging to give little cousins who love soccer di soccer boots and taking others to tournaments like guys my uncle left me ka gare ga dikoloto le di tshepisho straight 😂😂😂♥️♥️♥️.”
“Thank you for being so tender with all of us, for the calls asking how we are doing with our families. My uncle who taught us Rastafarian music , the one who made us think bo Lucky Dube, Bob Marley, Eric Donaldson were our uncles because the house was full of their pictures,” she concluded her beautiful tribute.
