The Kolisi Foundation Releases A Statement In Light of Siya and Rachel’s Divorce

The Kolisi Foundation Releases A Statement In Light of Siya and Rachel’s Divorce. Tuesday evening the much loved South African couple announced that they were ending their marriage of 8 years. Siya and Rachel Kolisi released a joint statement on their respective Instagram account to share the news.

The two got married in 2016, in a beautiful wedding ceremony. They have been blessed with two kids, a boy and a girl. Siya and Rachel also lived with Siya’s two younger siblings, which they raised as their own. The family was always a united front, serving epic love goals that everyone admired.

One of the amazing things they share in common is the Kolisi Foundation. They are co-founders of the project, with Rachel also serving as the CEO. The Kolisi Foundation’s main mandate is to help communities thrive. They do so by bringing about systemic change and creating safe spaces through sport and education, addressing gender-based violence, and contributing to food security.

Just recently Siya and Rachel joined the kids from the Siphekele iSizwe Empowerment Hub for a powerful Gwijo, celebrating unity, strength, and hope. In another initiative of empowering the youth, the Kolisi Foundation ran a Siyaphakama Zwide Schools Programme equipping learners with essential skills and resources. They have also collaborated with Adidas SA and Black Betty Design to create limited-edition beaded bracelets for the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon. The bracelets were hand crafted by survivors of Gender-Based Violence at the Saartjie Baartman Centre in Cape Town.

Although Siya and Rachel have decided to end their marriage, this does not affect the foundation. The two met with the board, and confirmed their dedication to the foundation.
