Salamina Mosese Expresses Gratitude After A Successful Book Launch
Salamina Mosese Expresses Gratitude After A Successful Book Launch. A few weeks back, Salamina Mosese announced that she dropped the her second children’s book, Cook-Off at Gogo’s Spaza. Since the release, the award winning actress, producer and author has been on a media tour promoting the book.
Being a staunch reader herself, Salamina knows the importance of book in the society. She also understands how reading impacts children, hence she catered for them. After completing a course with SA Writers College, Salamina decided to pen her first children’s book, two years. She first wrote the book, Disaster at Gogo’s Spaza, as a part of an assignment for the writing course she took under lockdown.
The book tells a story of Tumi, who visits her Gogo in Soweto for the holidays. She and her twin cousins often help Gogo in her spaza shop. Gogo’s Goodies is the oldest spaza in all of Soweto and Gogo’s pride and joy. When Gogo leaves for a few days, Tumi has one of her crazy. They will open the shop and run it themselves and earn loads of money! But they’ve never had to do it without Gogo, and things quickly get out of hand, making the spaza more famous than ever.
Continuing with her passion, Salamina has just published, Cook-Off at Gogo’s Spaza. She recently had a successful book launch, attended by parents, children and readers at large.
“Book launch for #cookoffatgogosspaza is in the can! 🚀
