“My Path In Pageantry Ends Here,” Miss World South Africa 1st Princess Nande Mabala
“My Path In Pageantry Ends Here,” Miss World South Africa 1st Princess Nande Mabala. This past Saturday she joined the other Miss World South Africa, competing for this year’s crown. Nande Mabala finished at a respectable 2nd position.
Since the start of the beauty competition, Nande was a top contender. Through the competition, the beauty queen aimed at changing the trajectory of the lives of the children in townships. During the finale, Nande stood out, all confident, and answered questions to perfection. Although, the ultimate goal was to win the crown, getting the 1st princess position is also a great achievement.
This was not Nande’s first time entering a major beauty pageant. In 2023, she competed in Miss South Africa pageant, finishing Top 3. After the pageant, Nande stated that she was content with how far she went. Making it to Top 3 is a major achievement, and she was grateful for it. She then pleaded with her well wishers to refrain from the “enter again” messages. After much consideration, she decided to give Miss World South Africa a shot.
Finishing 1st runner up, has Nande all proud of herself. She however has decided to end her beauty pageantry journey. Her philanthropic work is not ending though, as she is more equipped with lessons and the fire to carry on.
“A journey of a thousand steps that began with a dream of becoming Miss World has reached its final chapter. Being crowned 1st Runner Up at Miss World South Africa is not just a title; it’s a reflection of resilience, hard work, and an unbreakable spirit. This journey taught me more than I could ever imagine—about strength, about the power of purpose, and about embracing every moment, no matter how challenging.
While my path in pageantry ends here, I carry with me the lessons, the friendships, and the fire to continue making a difference through the work I love. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. This isn’t the end; it’s a new beginning,” Nande said.
