Gert-Johan Coetzee Debuts His Collection As Creative Director of Steve Madden. This is definitely one of the biggest partnership in the history of the local fashion industry. Steve Madden, the legendary American footwear brand partnered with the renowned designer and Creative Director, Gert Johan Coetzee for the SS’24 Fashion Show.
The collection is a fusion of Steve Madden’s classic, rebellious style and authentic South African influences. To mark the partnership, a Fashion Show was held at Sandton Convention Center on Thursday. This was under the theme: Bringing New York to You!
Among those who attended include Bonang Matheba, Pearl Thusi, Fezile Mkhize, Nadia Nakai, Zanele Potelwa and Lasizwe Dambuza. The show was hosted by TV personality and renowned events host, Nomalanga Shozi.
Gert has remained consistent over the years. The award winning designer has dressed global stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Cardi B, Chloe Bailey and so many others. He has also graced international magazines, and showcased at international fashion show. Gert just showcased his collection in London Fashion Week and SA Fashion last week.
