BU Mthembu Reacts to Seeing Himself On A Billboard

BU Mthembu Reacts to Seeing Himself On A Billboard. Regardless of how big a star you are, seeing your face on such a platform is a big thing. Celebrities such as Thembinkosi Mthembu, Kgomotso Christopher, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, Thick Leeyonce and Mbalenhle Mavimbela have all expressed excitement after seeing their faces on billboards.

Another celebrity, who is also proud of seeing their face on a billboard is BU Mthembu. A year ago, the award winning actor, reality show star and musician checked out a billboard that features him and his other cast mates on Adulting. He saw the billboard while driving, and this was an exciting yet, humbling experience for the rising star.

BU has just seen another billboard, bearing his face. He was driving when he saw his face and that of actress Phindile Gwala, plastered on a big billboard.

How it feels to see yourself on a billboard 💫,” BU gushed.

From doing TV adverts, to reality shows, music projects and bagging lead roles, BU has definitely earned his stripes. Although many got to know him through Big Brother Mzansi Season III, he has been in the industry way before then. BU was featured in adverts and affiliated himself with famous people like DJ Maphorisa, Reason and Kabza de Small. His first shot at fame was an advert for a car brand which became quite popular.

After his exit from the house, BU worked on his musical career. He signed with an independent music distribution company, Electromode Ingrooves Music Group. His musical persona, LuDo BU, is a shortened version of his name. After Big Brother, he dropped a hip-hop single, “The Packager”, featuring Sizwe Alakine (formerly Reason).

BU then explored the world of acting, where he has been doing exceptionally well. The rising star was cast on Ayeye: Stripped and Redemption, where he did an outstanding job. In March 2023, he was announced as part of the cast of Adulting, the first Showmax Original from Tshedza Pictures, as toy-boy Vuyani.
