Basetsana Kumalo Pays Touching Tribute At Pastor Ray McCauley’s Funeral. About two weeks ago, she shared the breaking news of Rhema Bible Church Pastor Ray McCauley‘s passing. Basetsana Kumalo did this on behalf of his family.
On behalf of the McCauley family and Rhema Bible Church, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this time. Since then, Bassie has been updating about memorial and funeral plans. Among other things, she updated about a Comfort Service Thursday, an Honouring Service at Rhema Bible Church and Pastor Ray’s Official Funeral.
She has also been sharing posts about her memories with the loved Pastor. The beauty queen posted a video of her wedding day, where Pastor Ray married she and Romeo Kumalo. The pastor also christened all Bassie’s kids, and went on to officiate her parents’ funerals. She also shared one of Pastor Ray’s timeless messages of hope and encouragement.
“You led me to Christ when I was 16 at Rhema Bible Church, guiding me through every part of my Christian journey. You were always there to pray for me, to listen, to teach, to guide. In you, I found a spiritual father, a constant source of strength and inspiration,” Bassie said.
On the day if Pastor Ray’s funeral, Bassie was among of the speakers. She spoke fondly of the late pastor, continuing to share fond memories she had with him. From her speech, one could tell that the two had such a special relationship, and looked up to each other.
“It is well. Rest now. Till we see each other again. 🙏🏽,” she said.
