Overview

The programme supports the training of certified Motor Mechanics within the following scope:

• Technical skills training in motor mechanics and future skills of the motor industry.
• Entrepreneurship training.
• Facilities and Equipment.
• Business and technical development.
• Funding.
• Tools and support.
• Coaching and mentoring.

The programme will run in 36 months cycles and will focus on:

• Inspecting, diagnosing and testing vehicles.
• Performing maintenance checks.
• Repairing or replacing parts.
• Maintain equipment.
• Tyre and glass (glaziers) fitment.
• Auto spares.
• All auto mechanics such as motor mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, tractor and forklift mechanics and diesel fitters.
• Panel beaters

Intended Beneficiaries:

• 32 Beneficiaries (9 Sasolburg, 14 Secunda and 9 Ekandustria)
• Beneficiaries interested in studying motor mechanics at TVET colleges.
• TVET College graduates who still need to complete a trade test.
• Graduates interested in studying a qualification in alternative fuel technology.
• Current motor mechanic SMMEs in the township
