“This Rebirth Has Been Beautiful and Messy,” Keke Mphuthi On Her Latest Acting Role. On Champions, she plays Didintle Buthelezi, a woman scorned. She is going through the most, as her marriage is falling apart because her husband has fallen in love with another woman. Her perfect family is now destroyed, and there isn’t much she can do about it.
Didi id played by the one and only Keke Mphuthi, who has been in the industry for years. She holds the role very close to her heart, as it tells the story of many women out there. Women are often very resilient, compromising, family orientated, family builders, and love so deep that they bleed out to insanity. Didi is going through that, and so has Keke at some point in her life.
Taking on Instagram, Keke states that she hasn’t really healed from playing the Didi character. This was evident when she shot one of her latest project a month ago. The talented actress describes the role as the most psychotic she has ever played.

I’ve spent more time in therapy than food ( and that’s not me🤧)…. My latest project from last month was another reminder that I haven’t healed from Didintle.
I’ve never met a more psychotic person that this young lady ,n to have my DOP & DIRECTOR as legends in the game was priceless & an honor🙏🏽… film is definitely different than television. I lived as this psychotic woman for weeks on end but you know what ….. NEW LEVEL UNLOCKED.🔓
