Social Media Reacts to Zola Nombona Being Snubbed by the SAFTAs
Social Media Reacts to Zola Nombona Being Snubbed by the SAFTAs. The South African Film and Television Awards have just dropped their nominees for 2024. Deserving actors, crew members as well as their shows have been nominated for the highly anticipated SAFTAs 18.
The truth of the matter though is that, when it comes to such nominations, it is not easy to narrow entertainers down and select the best of the best. This is because most of our creatives are so talented, and always give it their all. Hence why nominations will always have some personal faves missing.
Having noted that though, there are certain personalities, whose talent you can’t just miss. One such is the award winning actress Zola Nombona. Her role on My Brother’s Keeper is quite iconic, and it definitely put her up there with the best we have. She plays Fakazile Shabalala, a widow, who won’t be taken advantage of by her in-laws. Sadly for Zola and her fans, she has not been nominated in this year’s SAFTAs. A number of people have taken to social media to share their thoughts on her not making the cut.
