Nomzamo Mbatha Announced as the Ambassador of A Major International Foundation. She has made a name for herself both locally and internationally as an activist. Nomzamo Mbatha has advocated for women, children, learners, people hit by natural disasters, and those living in poverty among other calamities.
The award winning actress and media personalities, has also done some good deeds, through her Nomzamo Mbatha Lighthouse Foundation. So far the organization has assisted students who have not been able to further their studies with over a million Rands worth of funding. Partnering with organizations such as, Cotton On and Unilever, the foundation has come through for underprivileged students who were badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now Nomzamo gets to work with another major foundation, still with the aim of coming through for the less privilege. She has just been officially announced at the Earthshot Prize ambassador. Launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in October 2020, The Earthshot Prize is the most prestigious environment prize in history. It aims to discover, celebrate and scale solutions to the environmental challenges facing the planet.
