1. Nasiphi Isipho Ntabeni is a 33-year-old woman born Ngcobo and grew up in Dutywa

2. She grew up as an only child, raised by a single mother who struggled to make ends meet. The family relocated to Cape Town in search of greener pastures.

3. Her mom passed away in 2004 and she moved in with her aunt who was also struggling to raise her own six children. None-the-less, her aunt worked hard to make ends meet and was always loving and supportive toward her and her cousins.

4. The massively talented actress was introduced to acting by her high school teacher Sindiswa Binase. After matriculating at Nomaka Mbeki High School in Ngcungwana village in 2010, Ntabeni enrolled for performing arts at Lovedale College in Alice.

5. Ntabeni said it was her instructor Marlene Pieterse at Stage World Theatre School who approved of her career ambitions.

6. In 2017, she entered an acting competition called The Final Cut. She won the competition defeating 13 other hopefuls.

7. The following year, Ntabeni made her debut on SABC3’s popular soap opera, Isidingo. She starred as Cebisa, who was on the dark side of Nina, until the show got canned in March 2020.

8. For the role, she bagged her first acting award at the 2020 Royalty Soapie Awards. Ntabeni was nominated together with onscreen boyfriend Thulani Mtsweni for the Outstanding Couple Award.

9. A year ago, she bagged Ntsiki sister ka Forest in Inimba.

10. Besides acting Ntabeni is also a translator, language advisor and performance coach.
