Leleti Khumalo Celebrates Her Recent Award Win. A week ago, she got honored at the 2nd Golden Elephant Lifetime Achievement Awards ceremony. Together with Thembi Mtshali, Leleti Khumalo received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Presented by Duma Ndlovu, the award is for their outstanding work in the local and international film, television, theatre, and Broadway industries. The ladies joined the ranks of the first recipient of the award, Dr John Kani.
Taking to Instagram, Leleto expressed gratitude for her award. She paid tribute to all the women in the industry, who gave before her. The iconic actress also sang Thembi’s praises, for being a fellow award receiver.
“This past week, I was honored with a Golden Elephant Lifetime Achievement Award at the Market Theatre. It is great serendipity the at this event was held at the birthplace of my career.
