Janet Jackson Is No Longer on the DStv Delicious Festival Lineup and Here Is Why. Her fans were really excited when it was announced back in June that she was coming to South Africa. Sadly due to unfortunate circumstances beyond he control, Janet Jackson won’t be gracing Mzansi.
The American superstar was billed to perform at the 11th annual DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit (Johannesburg). Many looked forward to Jackson as the headliner on Saturday, September 21, supported by a number of talented local artists.
A few days ago, she sadly lost her big brother Tito Jackson. In light of this, the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival announced that Jackson will no longer grace the event. She had to cancel her gig to be with her family. Since a lot of her fans this side were anticipating to meet her, plans are being made for Jackson for her to come next year. On her side, she thanked her South African fans for the warm support during her grief.
The organizers are now working round the clock to get a suitable international artist to replace Jackson. An arrangement has been made also for those who want to exchange their Saturday tickets for Sunday.
“Following the passing of her brother, Tito Jackson, @JanetJackson will no longer perform at the DStv Delicious Festival as scheduled. We send our heartfelt condolences to her and the Jackson family during this incredibly painful time,” the organizers announced.
