ICYMI! Buntu Petse Returns to Generations: The Legacy
ICYMI! Buntu Petse Returns to Generations: The Legacy. One thing about Generations: The Legacy, characters are seldom killed off, so its easy for them to return. One can think of Karabp Moroka, Tau Mogale and Jack Mabaso, who constantly return with brand new storylines.
One character that recently made a comeback is Nonhle. She is the troubled daughter of on and off couple, Tau and Ayanda. The character is played by Petse, who debuted her acting career on the soapie in 2020. She joined the soapie straight after varsity, which she regards as a blessing. After three years of being with the production, the talented actress bid farewell to Generations: The Legacy.
At the time of her departure, three more actors left the SABC1 soapie. They are Karabo Maseko who played Dr Luyolo, Zizipho Buti, who played Tracy, as well as Rebaone Kgosimore, who portrayed Paul Moroka.
Well, Petse is back, and so is her onscreen dad, Rapulana Seiphemo (Tau). She came back at the wrong time though, and viewers are scared she might be killed. Whatever the case, it is heartwarming to see the talented Petse back onscreen.
“The apple of Tau & Ayanda eyes, Nontle….,” Generations announced Petse’s return.
After her departure from Generations: The Legacy, Petse bagged a lead role on Netflix’s Miseducation. The story follows Mbali Hadebe, (Petse), who finds herself on the cancelled list after the police raids her house and seize her family’s assets. This is all because of her mother, Brenda Hadebe’s (Baby Cele) corrupt political dealings. Embarrassed and with her tail between her legs, Mbali runs to Grahamstown University in Makhanda, where she strives to reinvent herself and escape her mother’s corrupt legacy.
