Gqeberha: The Empire Comes to An End. In January 2023, Gqeberha: The Empire, dropped it’s first episode, drawing the attention of viewers from all walks of life. Many people were interested in seeing how Luzuko Mxenge was going to juggle his three wives, a new girlfriend as well as managed his businesses.
As episodes went by, some viewers lost interest in Gqeberha: The Empire. The telenovela went under fire for poor production as well as redundant story line. Some viewers felt that Gqheberha has many talented actors, but was not living up to the hype. Talented actors such as Mbulelo Grootboom, Zikhona Sodlaka, Akhenime Mfenyane and Phila Madlingozi who started with the first season, have since left the telenovela. More talent has been added though, with new cast members like Bongile Mantsai and Oros Mampofu.
After two riveting seasons of drama, passion, and unforgettable storytelling, Gqeberha: The Empire, is coming to an end. It’s not yet clear which show will step it, as the show bows out. One thing for sure, the channel will make a plan.
