Lerato Kganyago and the likes of DJ Zinhle, Ms Cosmo, Miss Pru, DJ Cndo, DJ Fix, Owami Mafokate, DJ Lady Lea, Dineo Ranaka, Thuli Phongolo and Pinky Girl, are some of the best female DJs who are doing amazing things out there. Back then it used to be a man’s world, but now, women are making their mark in this male dominated industry.
Although Lerato has been soaring as a DJ, she has decided to take a much needed break. The award winning media personality, actress and entrepreneur took to Instagram to tell her fans and followers why that is the case. The decision was taken after Lerato’s doctor advised her to take a break from Djing for the next couple of weeks to focus on her health. Understanding that health is wealth, the hard working Lerato listened to her doctor, and won’t be on the decks until she is fit to do so.
“ I hope you can understand and I look forward to seeing many of you behind the decks very soon,” Lerato assured her fans.
Lerato has been doing amazing things since the beginning of the year. Both personally and professionally, everything she touches turns to Gold. A month ago, she opened her first beauty franchise, a Tammy Tailor store. It started operating over the holidays, and it looks like business is already blooming.
A few days ago, Lerato made another major career move by bagging her very own solo show on Metro FM. Her new show, Midday Link Up, made it’s debut on the 1st of April at 12: 00, and it is already a hit with listeners. She is now counted among the growing number of women taking the airwaves by storm.
