South Africans Rally Behind Adetshina Chidimma As She Contest In Miss Universe Nigeria. When one door closes, several other doors open. About a week ago, Adetshina Chidimma announced that she was withdrawing from the Miss South Africa pageant. This came after the backlash she received pertaining to her Nigerian roots.
Instead of feeling sorry for herself, and drowning in depression, she has entered another major pageant. Chidimma took to Instagram to reveal that she has received an invitation from the Silverbird Group who are the organizers of the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant. Chidimma has been asked to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 ,and has decided to accept the invitation.
“I have received an invitation from the Silverbird Group who are the organizers of the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 ,and I say this with great excitement because I have decided to accept this invitation.
I understand the responsibilities and expectations that come with this title and I am so excited to embark on this journey.
Thank you so much for this opportunity, and I look forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Universe Nigeria,” Chidimma said.
In a quite interesting turn of events, the South Africans who bullied Chidimma out of the Miss SA pageant are in full support of her. Some are even claiming her as one of their own. They are showing their support by voting for her, and sharing positive posts about her.
