“I Am Living In Some of My Answered Prayers,” Nelisiwe Sibiya Overwhelmed With Emotions As She Reflects On Her Humble Beginnings. She is the epitome of how hard works pays. Nelisiwe Sibiya is one of the most booked event host, actress and musicians in the country. She is also the face and brand ambassador of Emandulo house of Culture and Heritage.
Things did not happen for her by chance. The talented actress and singer worked her way up the entertainment industry with nothing but hard work, persistence, passion and talent. Over a decade ago, Nelisiwe used to walk, to some places around Johannesburg as a hustler. She boarded more than three taxis trying to make ends meets as a promoter.
Recently while walking around the streets of Joburg, Nelisiwe came across some billboards with her face on them. Remembering where she came from, Nelisiwe got overwhelmed with emotions, and cried. She also expressed gratitude over having her prayers answered, and still remaining humble despite massive success.
“Today I was off on set and I decided to spend my day reflecting on where I come from.
Oh man! I woke up this morning and wanted to walk on the streets of JHB I used to walk at more than 10 years ago still hustling and taking more than 3 taxis trying to make a living as a promoter.
While walking at Small Streets, I come across billboards with my faces. Oh man @dstvza @mzansimagic @tshedzapictures @starquality_management naze nangenza umuntu! Ngiyabonga.
I cried! Real tears (luckily I had a mask π· on) because wow! I am living in some of my answered prayers. Ngiyintonjazanyana nje eyintandane ezizamelayo.
Yonke into inesikhathi. I am so so grateful and always pray that I always remain the person that I am ngoba ophansi akawi ππΎβ€οΈπ―οΈππππΏ,” Nelisiwe said.
