SASSA Has Open Vacancies for Administrative Officer and Grants Administrators. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions to be based in Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Position: Administrative Officer (Level 7)
Salary: R308 154 – R362 994 per annum (exclusive of benefits)
Reference Number: SAS 08/24
Location: Mount Fletcher Office

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognized by SAQA
  • 3 years relevant experience.
  • Computer Literacy.

Duties:

  • Provide support services to the Local Office in respect of transport.
  • Human Resources Administration
  • Provisioning Services.
  • General Administrative Support Services.
  • Asset Management activities and manage subordinates.
  • Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PMFA, Chapter 6, and Part 3).

Position: Grants Administrator (Level 05)
Salary: R 216,417 – R 254,928 per annum. exclusive of benefits
Location: East London Local Office X1 (Ref SAS 09/24); Fort Beaufort Local Office X2 (Ref SAS 10/24)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4).
  • Computer literacy .

Added Advantage:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Administrative / clerical experience.

Duties:

  • Assist in the administration of Social Grants at Local Office Level.
  • Provide customer care services
  • Effectively screen all grant applications
  • Process social grant applications
  • Conduct quality control on grant applications
  • Assist with processing of medical, beneficiary maintenance and payment processes.
  • Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA, Chapter 6, and Part 3).
