Adetshina Chidimma Withdraws From Miss South Africa Pageant
Adetshina Chidimma Withdraws From Miss South Africa Pageant. Just a few days before the finale, one of the most prominent participant Adetshina Chidimma, has withdrawn. This comes after the public outrage from the public, questioning her identity.
Wednesday evening, Home Affairs released a statement on their findings about Chidimma. The department have started investigation to clarify the model’s status after receiving consent from her and her mother. From their findings thus far, prima facie reasons exist to believe that fraud and identity theft may have been committed by her mother. Chidimma herself could not have participated in the alleged unlawful actions, as she was an infant at the time the activities took place in 2001. Sadly, an innocent South African mother, whose identity may have been stolen as part of the alleged fraud, suffered as a result because she could not register her child.
Chidmma has thus decided to withdraw from the competition. She started by thanking all who has supported her on the beautiful journey. However. Chidimma is considering her safety and that of her family, and the wisest move is to pull out.
“Being part of the Miss South Africa 2024 competition has been an amazing journey. However, after much careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw myself from the competition for the well being of my family and I. With the support of Miss South African organization, I leave with a heart full of gratitude for this amazing experience, ” Chidimma said.
“Thank you for all the love and support. ❤️,” she captioned her statement.
