Tamaryn Green Clears Her Name After Reports that She Is One of the Covid-19 Financial Beneficiaries

Tamaryn Green Clears Her Name After Reports that She Is One of the Covid-19 Financial Beneficiaries. Two days ago, the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture published Covid-19 financial beneficiaries. These are artist, creatives and sports people who received funding during the Covid-19 pandemic.

As many famous people are in the entertainment industry, familiar names were spotted on the list. Among those are MacG, Mohale Motaung, sisters Kelly and Zandi Khumalo as well as Arthur Mafokate and his son AJ Mafokate.

There are some people though who are on the list, but have come forth that they know nothing about the funds. One of those is Winnie Ntshaba, who stated that she did nit apply for the funds, neither did she receive any money. Former Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, also found herself mistaken for being on the list. It turns out that the actual person who received funds was a certain, Tamaryn Greer, but one publication, News24, thought it was the beauty queen.

Please remove my picture & name associated with this story. I have never received any assistance from the @sportsartscultur for anything. The name on the list at position 3352 is TAMARYN GREER not TAMARYN GREEN. Please can this be rectified,” Tamaryn said.

News24, accepted the error that they made, and apologized to Tamaryn.

Apology & clarification from @News24 that I am in no way related to the article published today 11 July 2024 by them, stating that I had received Covid funds from @SportArtsCultur,” Tamaryn updated her followers.
