New Faces, New Season, Muvhango Is Back With A Bang! Just three weeks back, everyone believed that it was the end for Muvhango. On Tuesday 02 2024, the SABC2 drama aired what looked like their last ever episode. The show reportedly finished shooting on June 15th 2024, and production closed since. News doing the rounds was that, no new contracts for another season have been signed yet.
In the following days and weeks, Muvhango aired their first season, from almost three decades ago, with the original cast. It certainly looked like just like many shows, Muvhango also had been canned.
Well, on a cool twist, the beloved series is back and set to enter an exciting new era. After 27 years of captivating audiences with its compelling storytelling and dynamic characters, Muvhango‘s new season promises to take viewers on an enthralling journey of authentic African storytelling.
Liteboho Molise is returning to the new season of Muvhango to reprise her role as the notorious Tebogo Mukwevho. Actress and musician Lebo Tisane as well as actor and model Wiseman Zitha have rejoined the new and revamped cast of Muvhango
There are also new faces joining the show. A quite interesting character is, Dr Nonhlanhla Ximba played by the legendary Leleti Khumalo. Dr Ximba is a former medical doctor who has built a successful business in the construction industry. She has formed a partnership with Azwindini Mukwevho and MMC to expand her company.

The new season premieres 05 August at 9 pm on SABC2.
