Miss South Africa 2023 2nd Runner Up Nande Mabala Vying for Another Crown

Miss South Africa 2023 2nd Runner Up Nande Mabala Vying for Another Crown. One thing about our beauty queens, they believe in second chances. Miss South Africa queens Natasha Joubert and Zozibini Tunzi are among those who competed twice before they could clinch the crown.

Another former Miss SA contestant Nande Mabala is also taking the same route. She finished Top 3 in Miss SA 2023, and is back, competing at another major pageant. After doing exceptionally well in Miss SA, Nande stated that she was content with how far she went. Making it to Top 3 is a major achievement, and she was grateful for it. She then pleaded with her well wishers to refrain from the “enter again” messages.

A girl can change her mind, and so has Nande. She has entered Miss World South Africa, and already a top contender. Nande has made it to the top 10 finalists, and we love it for her. Through the competition, Nande aims at changing the trajectory of the lives of the children in townships.

Good morning World! From a @missworldsouthafrica Top 10 finalist! 🥹☺️

I am so honoured to be one step closer to my dream of getting the Blue Crown to the South African soil and most importantly to be given the opportunity and resources to serve and change the trajectory of the lives of children in the township.

I am excited to take you on the journey of molding my #GoGreenSA project. I initiated the Go Green SA project to focus on using agriculture and soft skills to combat food insecurit
y,” she said.

To aid this Nande has partnered with Siyafuneka Primary School in Zwelethemba. She, along with the students are building farms on the school grounds. The crops are used to provide nutritional meals for the students. They also teach the students soft skills so that they can commercialize the farm and use the funds to improve the school infrastructure and an overall quality educational experience.

Our approach isn’t just about giving back; it’s about instilling hope and igniting potential. We’re cultivating a generation of leaders who will transform their communities for the better,” she added.
