Miss SA Hopeful Chidimma Adetshina Distances Herself From A Twitter Account Under Her Name. The Miss South Africa pageant has been trending consecutively for days now. This is because of one of the contestants, Chidimma Adetshina, who has Nigerian roots.

The Cape Town-based model apparently has Nigerian and Mozambican roots. Her biography on the Miss SA website, however, says she is a model from Soweto. Because of this, many have called for the Top 14 contestant to be removed, since she is not South African. The model and beauty queen has the most attention, now that trolls are all over her.

There is a Twitter account using her name and pictures, constantly updating about her daily activities. On Tuesday, the account called out other tweeps for hating on Nigeria. It also advocated for peace and unity among Africans.

“The hate on Nigerians is so pathetic and uncalled for…The insults I receive on this app is just too much….African’s should live in peace and unity,” the account stated.

Chidimma, has distanced herself from the account, which was created this month. She shared on her Instagram stories that she has never had Twitter (X).

“It has been brought to my attention about a Twitter account under my name. I do not have Twitter and I have never had Twitter before, Chidimma said.
