Jub Jub Releases a Statement As Rape, Attempted Murder and Assault Charges Against Him Are Dropped. Jub Jub can now breath a sigh of relief now that all the criminal charges against him have been withdrawn.

Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as Jub Jub, handed himself over to the police on the 27th of July 2023. Jub Jub appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on charges of attempted murder and rape of Amanda Du-Pont. The actress and entrepreneur stated that Jub Jub, rapped her for a period of two years, but she was afraid to leave because of the power that his mother had. She further went to reveal that she had an abortion, because she couldn’t bring herself to raise a child who was a result of rape.

More victims came forth, and Jub Jub‘s charges escalated. He thus faced 14 counts ranging from rapes, indecent assaults, kidnapping, assault and assault to cause grievous bodily harm. All of the charges have been withdrawn, and he is now a free man.

“I would love to express my deep gratitude to my legal team for their unwavering commitment to justice and truth. This verdict brings a sense of relief and vindication, not only to me but also to those who supported me. The outpouring of support has been truly touching, and I am grateful for it,” Jub Jub said.
